Charli XCX Named Songwriter of the Year Ahead of Brit Awards

LONDON, England — Charli XCX has been awarded the prestigious title of Songwriter of the Year by the Brit Awards, with the ceremony set to take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the O2 Arena. The English pop star, known for her innovative sound, leads with five nominations at the ceremony, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for her critically acclaimed project, Brat. Besides her nominations, Charli’s long-time collaborator, A.G. Cook, was recently named Producer of the Year, reflecting their successful partnership highlighted by the release of Brat. This album has been heralded as a defining cultural moment, capturing themes of self-love and independence.
