Sioux Falls, S.D. — In an exclusive preview of the season 3 premiere of HGTV‘s ‘Down Home Fab’, Chelsea Houska and her husband Cole DeBoer faced a shocking incident as they prepared for the grand opening of their new store, Down Home by Deboers.

As they geared up for the launch, Chelsea received an alarming call from an employee who stated, ‘Chelsea, a car just drove through the front of the store. I just got off the phone with the police. They’re on their way.’

Despite the chaos, Chelsea confirmed everyone was safe but rushed to her husband, informing him, ‘Someone just crashed into the store. I’m not joking. We have to go.’

Footage from the security cameras showed customers admiring products during a soft opening when a white car suddenly crashed into the corner window, sending patrons diving for safety.

In a confessional clip, Chelsea expressed her immediate fears, saying, ‘When you start a business you think about a lot of things, but getting a phone call and hearing that a car crashed into your store is not one of those things.’ With relief, she noted, ‘When I find out that nobody was hurt, it was such a sense of relief.’

Cole shared that the driver of the vehicle was distraught after the accident. ‘She was bawling in my arms,’ he mentioned.

The aftermath required extensive cleanup and repairs. Chelsea explained, ‘We got the window boarded up. There was glass that hit everything in this vicinity and so we’re having to clear out quite a bit, even more than I think I was expecting.’

With the grand opening just weeks away, Cole questioned, ‘How are we going to fix that in time?’

Fans can expect to see how they overcome this obstacle when ‘Down Home Fab’ season 3 premieres on Tuesday, May 27, at 8 p.m. ET on HGTV.
