Chennaiyin FC Secures a 1-0 Victory Against Kerala Blasters FC in ISL Match
Chennaiyin FC clinched a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kerala Blasters FC in an intense Indian Super League match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Aakash Sangwan, scoring his maiden goal in the ISL, broke the deadlock with a clinical finish in the 60th minute.
Farukh Choudhary initiated the goal-scoring play by setting up Sangwan, who maneuvered past the KBFC defense to find the back of the net.
KBFC, under the guidance of coach Owen Coyle, struggled to find their rhythm and were unable to equalize despite their efforts.
In the second half, Chennaiyin displayed dominance, but saw a setback as Ankit Mukherjee was shown a red card in the 81st minute, leaving the team with 10 men.
The encounter also saw Dimitrios Diamantakos missing from the CFC lineup due to an injury sustained in training.
Both teams showcased glimpses of quality football, with Chennaiyin’s Rafael Crivellaro and Rahim Ali proving to be a threat to the KBFC backline.
