NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Chet Hanks and Drew Arthur, the country music duo Something Out West, have released their latest single, “You Better Run,” featuring a special cameo from Hollywood icon Tom Hanks. The music video premiered on March 28, 2025, and quickly captivated audiences with its nod to iconic film moments from the elder Hanks’s Oscar-winning role in 1994’s “Forrest Gump.”

In the video, Chet Hanks portrays a character reminiscent of his father’s beloved role, even recreating visuals where he sits on a bus stop bench beside Tom Hanks, who appears as himself. According to the duo’s official website, Something Out West was formed during a pivotal moment for both Chet Hanks and Arthur as they navigated their journeys to sobriety. Their move to Nashville fostered a unique sound that blends traditional country storytelling with contemporary influences. “Now signed to Big Machine Records, the duo just released their debut song, ‘Leaving Hollywood,’ and they are currently working on their first album set for release later this year,” the website states.
