Chicago P.d. Intelligence Unit Season 12 Cast

CHICAGO, Ill. — The drama continues to escalate in Season 12 of “Chicago P.D.,” with viewers eagerly tuning in for the latest twists and turns. The series, which airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC, showcases the gritty realities faced by the Intelligence Unit as they tackle high-stakes cases while navigating personal relationships.

New dynamics have emerged within the squad, particularly with the introduction of a new officer who has quickly proven to be a crucial asset. Meanwhile, Hank Voight, portrayed by Jason Beghe, balances his commanding role with unexpected romantic developments, adding a layer of complexity to his character.

This season has not only delivered suspenseful crime stories but also heartwarming moments, as fan favorite Kevin Atwater, played by LaRoyce Hawkins, explores a new romantic connection. Amid these quieter scenes, the series continues to reflect its hallmark intensity, which longtime fans have come to expect.

“The funny thing is that, with all the darkness, we goof around the whole time,” said Adam Ruzek, played by Patrick John Flueger. “Everyone is so serious, but at the same time, we goof around. Every set says, ‘We’re a family, we’re a family.’ I’ll tell you what: we are a family!”

Looking ahead, Episode 15, titled “Greater Good,” promises to delve deeper into the complexities of the characters’ lives as Voight challenges the motivations behind a Violence Reduction Initiative aimed at reducing gang violence in their jurisdiction. The episode is set to air on March 5, further raising the stakes for the unit.

“It’s a pretty big [One Chicago] family,” series creator Derek Haas commented on the tight-knit community of cast and crew. “Everybody gets along. I mean, there are no squeaky wheels in the cast… It’s a remarkably ensemble-like world.”
