Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago P.d. Nbc Shows

CHICAGO, Ill. — Viewers of NBC’s popular One Chicago franchise will need to wait a little longer for new episodes this week. Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D. are on a brief hiatus as NBC airs a live concert special, ‘Opry 100: A Live Celebration.’

The special will feature musical performances from artists such as Lainey Wilson, Marty Stuart, Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, and Trisha Yearwood, and is scheduled for broadcast from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on March 19. As a result, the usual Wednesday night episodes of the Chicago series will not air.

According to NBC, all three shows will return with new episodes on Wednesday, March 26, back in their original 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET time slots.

For fans wanting to catch up, Chicago Med, Fire, and P.D. can be streamed live on the NBC app or through services such as Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and FuboTV, which currently offers free trials for new subscribers. Previous seasons of the One Chicago franchise are also available for streaming on Peacock.

The hiatus comes after a schedule adjustment where the Chicago trio was already off last week. Viewers are reminded to set their reminders for the return of their favorite shows, which remain extremely popular among audiences and have contributed significantly to NBC’s weekly ratings.

NBC has not only been committed to its Chicago lineup but is also preparing for upcoming programming changes in the 2025-2026 season, further exciting fans for what’s to come.
