Chrisean Embraces Faith with New Single ‘Yahweh’

LAUREL, Md. — Rapper Chrisean recently marked a significant shift in her life by releasing her first Christian single, “Yahweh,” which features Tim Bowman Jr., Arissa, and Faith City Music from Faith City Central Church.

The song debuted during a live performance on March 30, part of a Sunday service at Faith City Central. In an interview with Dr. Mike Freeman, the church’s Senior Pastor, Chrisean shared her journey toward faith and transformation.

“You can still be gangster and still love God. It’s not like you come like, ‘Oh let me stop cussing. Let me stop doing.’ It’s more like, ‘Okay let me get to know you,’” she said. “The more I get to know you, the change really just starts inside and out, not outside and in.”

Following the live performance, Bowman expressed his pride in Chrisean’s decision, highlighting the impact of their worship together. “Yesterday was crazy at @faithcitycentral. I got to worship with my SISTER @Chrisean as she dropped her new Christian single ‘Yahweh!’ We sung, we cried, and we ministered. Chrisean and @drmikefreeman helped lead over 20 young people to Christ during our service. That’s the mission. That’s the motive. To win souls for the Kingdom. I am so proud of her decision to surrender, and it’s only up from here!”

Back in September, Chrisean announced on Instagram that she was committed to a new path free of her previous troubling behaviors. “Embracing a new life and walking in purity is a beautiful journey, one that reflects the transformative power of God’s love and grace,” the 25-year-old shared. “As you continue to shine brightly in your purity, remember that it’s a light within you, drawing you closer to Him and the life He has envisioned for you.”

Chrisean urged her followers to keep their hearts and eyes fixed on Jesus, noting that His guidance would illuminate their paths. As the faith-based community rallies around her transformation, it remains to be seen how her newfound dedication will impact her music and personal journey.
