Christina Haack and Heather El Moussa Bond Over Tarek’s Quirks in New ‘The Flip Off’ Skit

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — HGTV stars Christina Haack and Heather El Moussa shared a humorous and heartfelt moment in a new skit promoting their upcoming series, *The Flip Off*. The video, released Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, features the duo engaging in a mock therapy session to discuss their shared experiences with Tarek El Moussa, Heather’s husband and Christina’s ex.

In the skit, Christina, 41, and Heather, 37, sit down at Christina’s home to vent about Tarek’s quirky habits. Heather jokingly complains about Tarek’s behavior, including his tendency to fart under the covers and hold her head under them. “I just don’t know what to do at this point,” Heather says. “Did he ever do those things to you?” Christina responds with a laugh, “Sometimes he would throw them at me.”

The lighthearted exchange continues as Heather describes Tarek’s unpredictable personality. “Every single day, I don’t know what personality I’m going to get,” she says. “He yells at me, and then everything’s fine two minutes later.” Christina, who was married to Tarek from 2009 to 2018, offers Heather some perspective, noting that Tarek has improved by “15%” over the years. “By the time you’re 60, he’s going to be really nice,” Christina jokes.

The skit takes a playful turn when Tarek, 43, bursts into the room, startling Christina. Heather informs him, “We’re having a therapy session. About you.” Christina then reassures Heather, saying, “You got this, girl,” before giving her a hug and warning Tarek to “behave.”

The video comes just over a week before the premiere of *The Flip Off*, set to debut on HGTV on Wednesday, Jan. 29. The series will pit Heather and Tarek against Christina and her team in a house-flipping competition. This marks the first time the trio has starred in a show together since Christina and Tarek co-hosted *Flip or Flop*, which ended in March 2022.

Despite their past differences, Christina and Heather have developed a strong friendship. In a July 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Christina praised Heather as “an amazing stepmom” to her children, Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, whom she shares with Tarek. Heather and Tarek, who married in 2021, also have a son together.

*The Flip Off* was initially set to feature Christina’s estranged husband, Josh Hall, as her partner before their split. While HGTV has not clarified Hall’s involvement in the show, promotional materials released in December 2024 focused on the dynamic between Christina, Heather, and Tarek.

The series promises to deliver both competition and camaraderie as the trio navigates their unique relationships on and off the screen. Fans can tune in to *The Flip Off* on HGTV starting Jan. 29.
