CINCINNATI — Two iconic Cincinnati brands, Graeter’s Ice Cream and Skyline Chili, are joining forces to create a unique dessert experience. The new “Graeter’s Skyline Chili Spice Ice Cream” will debut on Jan. 27, blending Graeter’s signature French pot ice cream with Skyline’s distinctive spice blend and crunchy oyster crackers.

The collaboration was first hinted at in October when a concept image of chili-flavored ice cream appeared online. At the time, Graeter’s clarified that the image was merely conceptual, but the buzz sparked excitement among fans of both brands. A Skyline Chili spokesperson confirmed the two companies were working on a joint project, though details remained under wraps until now.

The announcement has elicited mixed reactions. Some locals are eager to try the unconventional flavor, while others remain skeptical. “It’s definitely a bold move,” said one Cincinnati resident. “I’m curious to see how the flavors come together.”

This isn’t the first time Graeter’s has partnered with local brands. The ice cream maker previously collaborated with Braxton Brewing Co. on flavors like Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout and Key Lime Pie Ale. Similarly, Skyline Chili has ventured into unexpected territory, including a Skyline Chili pizza with Dewey’s Pizza.

The new ice cream will be available at Graeter’s locations and select retailers starting Jan. 27. Whether it becomes a fan favorite or a fleeting novelty, the collaboration underscores Cincinnati’s reputation for culinary creativity.
