Clooney Irritated By Tarantino's Comments

In a recent interview with GQ, George Clooney didn’t hold back when discussing his feelings about fellow director Quentin Tarantino. Clooney revealed he’s feeling “a little irritated” with Tarantino after the director made some comments questioning his status as a movie star.

During the talk, Clooney recounted how Tarantino, in an interview of his own, was naming movie stars and was asked about him. Clooney said Tarantino responded by saying, ‘He’s not a movie star,’ and then went on to ask, ‘Name me a movie since the millennium.’ Clooney found this particularly frustrating, as he felt it disregarded a major part of his career.

“Since the millennium? That’s kind of my whole f***ing career,” Clooney remarked, clearly annoyed. He added, “So now I’m like, all right, dude, f*** off. I don’t mind giving him s***. He gave me s***.”

On the flip side, Clooney had even stronger words about director David O. Russell, expressing lasting frustration over working with him on the film Three Kings back in 1999. He mentioned how the challenges of working with Russell, who he described as a “miserable f***,” overshadowed the positive experience of the film itself.

Reflecting on how precious time is as he gets older, Clooney said, “Five months out of your life is a lot. It’s not worth it,” when it comes to working with difficult collaborators.

Clooney, who achieved global fame in the early 2000s with the Ocean’s series, continues to charm audiences with his performances in acclaimed films like Michael Clayton and Up in the Air. His latest film, Wolfs, directed by Jon Watts, is set to premiere at the Venice International Film Festival soon.
