LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Netflix has unveiled new details about the final episodes of its hit series “Cobra Kai,” offering fans a glimpse into the high-stakes conclusion of the Sekai Taikai World Tournament. The show, which premiered in 2018 as a continuation of the “Karate Kid” franchise, will wrap up its sixth and final season with five episodes set to debut on February 13.

The streaming platform released three new images and a sneak peek video, teasing the intense drama ahead. Two of the images depict Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) training their students, while a third shows Tory Nichols (Peyton List) exercising alone. The video features a voiceover from the head of the Sekai Taikai, who warns of the heightened stakes and potential for further conflict as the tournament resumes.

The final episodes will address the fallout from the death of Kwon Jae-Sung (Brandon H. Lee), who was killed during a skirmish in the previous installment. Despite the tragedy, the tournament will proceed, with the characters preparing for what could be a career-defining moment. The stakes are higher than ever, as another violent altercation could tarnish the event’s reputation and endanger lives.

Show co-creator Jon Hurwitz has assured fans that the series will not end on a cliffhanger. Instead, the final episodes aim to provide closure, answering lingering questions and resolving character arcs. “There is no big cliffhanger at the end of the last five episodes,” Hurwitz told Collider. “All questions will get answered, all mysteries will get solved, and all the characters will reach a satisfying conclusion.”

As the series draws to a close, it will also pay homage to its roots, potentially revisiting Daniel LaRusso’s early days as a student. The emotional wrap-up is expected to celebrate the show’s legacy while delivering thrilling action and heartfelt moments.

Fans can expect to see the fates of key characters, including Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser), Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña), and Axel (Patrick Luwis), unfold in the final episodes. The series will also explore the broader implications of Kwon’s death on the karate world.

“Cobra Kai” has been a cultural phenomenon since its debut, blending nostalgia with fresh storytelling. The final episodes promise to deliver a fitting end to the saga, ensuring that the show’s legacy remains intact.
