Colombian Journalist Teodoro Podcast Announcement

BOGOTÁ, Colombia — On March 25, 2025, Teodoro, a prominent American-Colombian journalist, announced his latest project, shifting from television to podcasting. Known for his investigative format on one of Colombia’s most viewed programs since 1996, Teodoro’s announcement has sparked conversations on social media.

With over 15,000 followers on Instagram, Teodoro expressed his excitement about the upcoming recordings of a new version of ‘El Rastro,’ a series focused on investigations related to murders and homicides. ‘It’s thrilling to be part of this project that captures the essence of our society,’ he said.

The podcast will be available on the ‘BumBox’ platform and via the ‘Blu Radio‘ app. Teodoro’s involvement as the voice of the podcast marks a significant transition from years spent leading the televised version of the program.

Séptimo Día‘ was the first broadcast of this audiovisual format on July 7, 1996, addressing various social issues in Colombia. The program has had two distinct phases, with the initial one concluding in 2000, and a revival starting in 2007 that continues to this day. During its early years, Teodoro hosted alongside actress and presenter, Diana Botero.

In a recent commemorative special, Botero reflected on their groundbreaking work, stating, ‘There was no program like the one we created. It was perfect and pioneering. I felt truly happy.’ The show’s legacy has paved the way for numerous talents in investigative journalism, including Juan Carlos Villamil and Laura Hincapié.

As Colombia continues to evolve, Teodoro’s new endeavor in podcasting is expected to engage audiences and foster discussions on pressing topics in the nation.
