Comedian Matt Friend to Host 2024 NHL Awards in Las Vegas
Comedian Matt Friend has been announced as the host for the upcoming 2024 NHL Awards™ ceremony. The event, celebrating the NHL’s top regular-season performances, will take place in Las Vegas on June 27th at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The show will be broadcast live on ESPN and Sportsnet in the U.S. and Canada, starting at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET.
Fans can purchase tickets to join the celebratory evening in Las Vegas or opt for an exclusive room package at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which includes a special room rate and two tickets to the NHL Awards™. The awards will honor top players in various categories, such as most valuable player, outstanding goaltender, outstanding defenseman, outstanding rookie, and the Ted Lindsay Award.
Matt Friend, known for his rising career as a comedian and impressionist, expressed excitement at hosting the NHL Awards, fulfilling a lifelong dream. The event, organized by the NHL and led by Steve Mayer, promises to be a memorable night in Las Vegas, following a monumental season for the league.
