Congressman Cleo Fields Makes Notable Stock Trades in October
Washington, D.C. — Congressman Cleo Fields, D-La., recently disclosed significant stock purchases in his latest transactions. Between October 23 and October 31, 2025, Fields made trades that have attracted attention, particularly for his omission of two notable tech stocks from his portfolio.
Fields has a history of investing in what he terms the ‘Magnificent Seven’ stocks. In his recent filing, he included shares from companies like Nvidia, which has been his top pick, but notably excluded Amazon.com Inc., Microsoft Corporation, and Meta Platforms. These companies had been some of his largest investments in previous months.
In August and September, Amazon ranked as Fields’ sixth-largest purchase, while Microsoft was third, and Meta was fourth. The absence of these stocks in his latest buy hints at a potential shift in his investment strategy or simply a reaction to market prices.
Additionally, Fields revealed a recent purchase of Apple stock valued between $880,010 and $2,050,000, indicating continued confidence in the tech sector. While Apple shares traded up 0.86% at $275.81 on the day of his purchase, Fields has executed numerous trades over the past three years, totaling more than $10.15 million in value.
Fields also sold shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill, valued between $15,000 and $50,000. Recent reports suggest that he has invested in several shares of Taiwan Semiconductor and entered the market with new trades in Celestica and Netflix for the first time in 2025. Celestica, in particular, is noted for a remarkable share price increase of over 200% this year.
Congressional trading activity like Fields’ plays a crucial role in public perception. Under the STOCK Act, members of Congress are required to report transactions to avoid conflicts of interest and to ensure transparency in their trading activities.
Analysts will be watching Fields’ future trades closely to see if he re-engages with tech giants like Microsoft and Meta or continues to diversify his investments with other stocks.
