Coperni Fashion Show Disneyland Paris

PARIS, France — Coperni, the innovative fashion brand, showcased its Spring/Summer 2025 collection in a magical setting at Disneyland Paris on May 9, 2025. The event took place in front of Belle’s iconic castle from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” Creative Director Sébastien Meyer and CEO Arnaud Vaillant used the show to convey their belief that fashion is more than just clothing; it embodies a fantasy and emotion.

“I have a secret to tell,” Meyer shared during an interview with ABC‘s “On The Red Carpet Storytellers Spotlight.” He expressed that his childhood dream of being a magician inspired his creative vision. The fashion show featured a narrative divided into three acts: innocence, rebellion, and transformation. Through bold designs and textures, the duo aimed to captivate the audience’s imagination.

Vaillant added, “We love to invent a whole world. The garments and models are not just pieces of clothing; they are heroes and characters of that world.” Both creators emphasized that storytelling is vital to their work. “You can design the most beautiful product in the world, but without a story, it has no soul,” Meyer stated, underscoring their commitment to meaningful fashion.

Disney Consumer Products president Tasia Filippatos highlighted how the collaboration aligns with modern interpretations of classic Disney characters. “We want to inspire girls today by showing them role models who overcome adversity,” she said. The show paid homage to iconic Disney princesses while presenting them through Coperni’s distinct and rebellious perspective.

The collection featured designs inspired by Ariel, Snow White, and Jasmine, combined with contemporary tailoring and unexpected proportions. Vaillant commented on their mission, stating, “We are here to make women feel brave, cool, and free. Listening to women’s perspectives is essential to our design process.” The show redefined storytelling in fashion, allowing women to create their own worlds through design.

For those who missed the event, the interview with Meyer and Vaillant is available on ABC’s “On The Red Carpet Storytellers Spotlight” segment.
