Country Singer Gavin Adcock Arrested for Reckless Driving in Tennessee

WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Country music singer Gavin Adcock was arrested late Wednesday night for reckless driving and possessing an open container of alcohol. Officers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol apprehended Adcock at 11:15 PM, just outside Nashville.
Adcock, known for his wild performances, was released on a $1,000 bond at 4:34 AM Thursday morning. His attorney has not commented on the incident and details surrounding the arrest remain unclear. Adcock’s next court appearance is set for August 18, 2025.
Interestingly, Tennessee law allows passengers to have open containers in vehicles, but not drivers, which raised questions about the circumstances of Adcock’s arrest.
The Watkinsville, Georgia native has a history of controversial behavior, especially during his time as a defensive tackle for the Georgia Southern Eagles. In 2021, he faced suspension for an on-bus beer-chugging stunt that went viral.
“What I did was very selfish,” Adcock stated in an apology after the incident. He later left the team midway through his senior season, pivoting towards a full-time music career.
Since then, Adcock’s music career has taken off. He performed two sold-out shows at The Pinnacle in Nashville last weekend and is set to open for Morgan Wallen on his upcoming tour.
Despite his recent legal troubles, Adcock continues to build a reputation in the country music scene. His friendship with golfer John Daly has even led to unexpected moments, including a FaceTime call with former President Trump during a charity golf event.
