Country Star Reveals Plans for Intimate Las Vegas Wedding Ceremony

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country singer and American Idol winner Beckham is set to marry his fiancée, Ashley, in a small Las Vegas ceremony later this year. During an appearance on the podcast Diving In Deep with Sara Evans, Beckham, 28, shared that the couple has opted for an intimate celebration involving only their parents.
“Just me, her and our parents,” Beckham said, revealing that they plan to be married by an Elvis impersonator. “That’s gonna be it. We’ll go out there, get married and come back home.” Beckham confirmed that they would hold a larger celebration later but emphasized their preference for a modest event.
“We’ve been going through so many different things right now, including buying or building a house, so we’d rather spend our money on those things than a big wedding,” Beckham explained. “We never really wanted one anyway.”
The couple has been together for over 11 years, having met, dated, separated, and eventually rekindled their romance after Beckham’s Idol success. Reflecting on their journey, he remarked, “We were like, ‘Alright, it’s probably about time we get engaged and have a wedding.’ But yeah, we just never wanted to have a big one.”
Beckham proposed to Ashley while performing at The Honda Center in Anaheim, a moment captured on film. He joyfully announced to the audience, “She said yes, y’all, she said yes.” In January, he first shared details of their wedding plans, describing a vision of a “little white chapel-type deal” in Las Vegas. He also mentioned considering a wedding during his manager’s friend’s residency there.
“We almost did it while Luke had his residency in Vegas, because we thought it would be cool for Kerri and Luke to be our witnesses at the chapel,” Beckham recalled. “But we put it off and actually did it the real way. We got engaged. So we’re excited.”
In addition to his wedding plans, Beckham recently released his album Bad for Me in 2024, featuring the hit single “23.” He previously explained the song’s significance in an interview, stating, “‘23’ means a lot of things. It’s about trials and redemption and learning through life. Whenever you think you’re done, you just keep going.” With a tour lined up for this spring and summer, the singer continues to build on his successful career following his American Idol win in 2021.
