Country Star Riley Green Hospitalized After Hunting Accident, Returns to Field
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country music star Riley Green, 36, found himself in the emergency room after a hunting accident but wasted no time returning to the field after receiving medical clearance. The Alabama native shared the ordeal on social media, revealing he had stepped on a nail during a hunting trip.
In a video posted on Jan. 6, Green explained the incident while sitting in the hospital. “At the emergency room ’cause I stepped on a nail,” he said, laughing. “Impaled my foot, and when I took my boot off, corn fell all over the floor.” The corn, he joked, was from his boot, adding, “You don’t want me to take this other one off, either. It’s real-world problems.”
Green’s friend, who accompanied him to the hospital, asked the doctor when the singer could resume hunting. The doctor gave the green light immediately, and Green was back in the snowy woods later that day. He shared a selfie video on Instagram, braving 16-degree temperatures with the caption, “What sore foot?”
The accident didn’t dampen Green’s enthusiasm for hunting. Last month, he posted a photo on social media posing next to a buck he had harvested on his new farm in Kansas. “First buck off my new farm in Kansas and he was a good one,” Green wrote. “It took a bunch of hours sittin’ in a tree with a bow, but he finally slipped up. Damn, I love it out here.”
Green, known for hits like “You Look Like You Love Me” featuring Langley, is preparing for his “Damn Country Music Tour,” which kicks off in February. Despite the mishap, the singer remains in high spirits, showcasing his dedication to both his music and outdoor pursuits.
