Crawford and Gerber Celebrate Daughter’s Success at Theatre

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber attended the closing night performance of their daughter Kaia Gerber’s play, “Evanston Salt Costs Climbing,” on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Rogue Machine Theatre.
The couple, who are nearing their 27th wedding anniversary on May 29, dressed casually for the occasion. Crawford, 59, opted for a beige v-neck sweater complemented by a matching draped jacket, dark gray trousers, and brown suede boots. Her husband, Gerber, 62, wore a gray T-shirt, windbreaker, and black-and-white sneakers while fondly supporting his wife.
As they arrived, fans gathered to request autographs from Crawford, who happily obliged. “It’s always great to see such supportive fans,” she said in a brief conversation with reporters.
Kaia Gerber, 23, took the stage for the nearly six-week run of her role, receiving praise from critics for her performance. Stage & Cinema noted her transition from being viewed as a “nepo baby” to demonstrating significant acting chops.
The play was written by Will Arbery, and the Los Angeles Times described it as a “deep, warm, and hysterically funny play about climate change and humanity’s darkest fears.” The production garnered attention for its unique ability to create community among audience members.
Crawford shared a heartfelt tribute to Gerber in February on Instagram, commemorating Valentine’s Day with a throwback photo of the couple from their early days together, captioned, “Our first picture together — all these years later, you’re still my funny Valentine.”
Kaia’s theatrical endeavor is just one aspect of her burgeoning career; she is also known for her impressive modeling work and is actively involved in literary pursuits, co-managing the book club “Library Science.” In February, she celebrated the club’s anniversary by thanking its members for their engagement, saying, “Thank you to everyone who buried their noses with us — fiction perpetually bringing us closer to reality.”
