Critics Choice Awards 2025 Film Nominations

The 30th Critics’ Choice Awards, set to take place on January 12, 2025, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, have announced their film nominations. This year, the Critics Choice Association honors a diverse range of films, with ‘Conclave‘ and ‘Wicked‘ leading the pack with 11 nominations each.

The ceremony, which will be hosted by Chelsea Handler for the third consecutive year, will recognize the finest achievements in filmmaking and television programming for 2024. The event will be broadcast on E and available to stream the next day on Peacock.

In addition to ‘Conclave’ and ‘Wicked,’ other notable films receiving multiple nominations include ‘Anora‘ and ‘The Brutalist.’ The Critics Choice Association, now the largest critics organization in the U.S. and Canada with over 580 members, has a history of influencing the awards season, often aligning with Oscar favorites.

Last year, the association gave ‘Barbie‘ a record 18 nominations, but ultimately awarded ‘Oppenheimer,’ directed by Christopher Nolan, with eight awards. This year’s nominations reflect a broad spectrum of cinematic achievements, highlighting the critical acclaim received by these films in 2024.
