Daddy Yankee Con Calma Music Video

San Juan, Puerto Rico – Daddy Yankee has reached a new milestone as the music video for his hit 2019 song “Con calma,” featuring Canadian rapper Snow, has surpassed 3 billion views on YouTube. This animated clip is the second video from the Puerto Rican superstar to achieve this feat, following the global success of “Despacito” in 2017.

Released in January 2019, the video for “Con calma” showcases an animated version of Daddy Yankee leading a party on a vibrant dance floor, surrounded by dancers that bring the infectious rhythm to life, thanks to collaborations with Play-N-Skillz and David “Scott Summers” Macías. The visual reinterprets Snow’s classic 1992 hit “Informer,” creating a festive atmosphere that continues to attract a growing audience.

The song made a significant impact on the Billboard charts, reaching the number one position in various rankings. In February 2019, a remix featuring Katy Perry peaked at number 22, further broadening the song’s global appeal.

Last October, Billboard reported that Concord acquired Daddy Yankee’s music catalog in a major financial deal. The reggaeton icon, whose album “Barrio Fino” was the first of its genre to debut at number one on the Top Latin Albums chart in 2004, released his latest trap-influenced single, “En el desierto,” earlier this year. Daddy Yankee was also featured in the documentary “Reggaeton: The Sound that Conquered the World” alongside other artists.
