Dale Earnhardt Jr. Nascar Career Wins Analysis

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Dale Earnhardt Jr. has raised questions about which NASCAR drivers might achieve the milestone of 60 career wins. Reflecting on current talent, Earnhardt speculated on the chances of several drivers during a recent interview.

Earnhardt mentioned Kyle Larson first, stating, “He could do it.” Larson currently holds 32 victories. However, Earnhardt expressed concern that Larson may not commit to full-time racing in the Cup Series long enough to reach the mark due to potential focuses on dirt racing.

The racing legend also evaluated Joey Logano’s prospects, who has 37 wins. Earnhardt said Logano “needs to run better during the regular season” to have a chance at hitting 60 wins. He predicted that Logano would easily surpass 50 wins but likely won’t reach 60, estimating his career total might end around 55 wins.

Earnhardt discussed Brad Keselowski, who has 36 wins, expressing skepticism about his chances to hit 60. He suggested that Keselowski “will be lucky to see 40” victories in his career.

Another driver on Earnhardt’s list was Chase Elliott. With 21 career wins, Earnhardt stated that he believes the Georgia native could also reach 60 wins, but he anticipates that Elliott may retire before achieving this goal.

Reflecting on the evolution of the sport, Earnhardt commented, “It really does feel like that these guys are going to keep retiring earlier and earlier.” He noted that during his prime, it was common to see drivers race past the age of 50, hinting at a trend that could prevent current top drivers from reaching 60 wins.

Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch are the only two active drivers currently with 60 wins. While Busch has not won a race this season, Hamlin, at 44 years old, has celebrated six victories this year and is on the verge of his first Cup Series title.
