Dallas Stars Shine at 2025 Met Gala in New York City

NEW YORK, New York – May 5, 2025 – The Met Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, captivated audiences on Monday night. This year, the theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrating Black fashion and identity through the ages. North Texas celebrities left their mark on the red carpet with stylish outfits that reflected the evening’s theme.

Enthusiasts and critics alike took to social media to share their thoughts on the extravagant looks. The gala serves a dual purpose: supporting the Costume Institute’s historic work while offering a platform for fashion critiques.

Among the North Texans, sprinter and Olympic gold medalist Sha'Carri Richardson made a striking appearance, donning a Valentino cream dress over a lavender lace bodysuit. She completed the look with a cascade of cream and white bows in her hair. Richardson collaborated with Valentino’s creative director Alessandro Michele to achieve an ensemble that was both beautiful and meaningful. “My look is inspired by Black power — by Black women power,” she stated ahead of the event.

Fort Worth native Jaden Bridges, a frequent Met Gala attendee, showcased a standout ensemble designed in collaboration with Nicholas Daley. Dallas native Nick Jonas made a stylish entrance in a Bianca Saunders outfit, featuring a long-sleeved cream blouse and black trousers. However, his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, stole the spotlight with her tailored Balmain look adorned with polka dots, statement jewelry, and a striking wide-brim hat. Notably, Chopra’s necklace featured the 241-carat “Magnus Emerald,” a remarkable centerpiece.
