Dana Perino Book Cover April 2025

NEW YORK, Feb. 18, 2025 – Dana Perino, co-anchor of Fox News Channel’s ‘America’s Newsroom,’ will release her latest book, ‘I Wish Someone Had Told Me: The Best Advice for Building a Great Career and a Meaningful Life,’ on April 22. The book aims to provide mentorship and guidance to readers seeking success in their professional and personal lives.

Perino, who has served as White House press secretary under former President George W. Bush and joined Fox News as a contributor in 2009, hopes to distill her two decades of mentoring experience into practical advice. ‘There’s an insatiable desire for career and life advice, and one thing I’ve learned in 20 years of mentoring is that I certainly don’t have all the answers,’ she said. ‘That’s where my trusted friends and colleagues come in. This book is designed as a one-stop shop for the latest career and life advice.’

The book compiles insights from various influential figures in Perino’s life, including colleagues at Fox News. Contributors such as Bret Baier, Jesse Watters, Ainsley Earhardt, and Martha MacCallum share their wisdom throughout the chapters. Country music singer Dierks Bentley is also featured, lending his perspective on balancing career and life commitments.

‘I Wish Someone Had Told Me’ serves as a practical guide, addressing key concepts such as finding the right career path, entering the job market, and transitioning between positions while continuing personal development. Perino emphasized that the advice aims to resonate with all individuals regardless of their current career stage:

“It’s ideal for anyone looking for timeless insight into self-improvement and career enhancement.”

Throughout the book, Perino and her peers address common challenges in the workplace, including avoiding burnout and maintaining healthy relationships outside of work. Perino reflects on her leadership program, Minute Mentoring, which aims to support the next generation of female leaders.

Since launching FOX News Books in 2020, the imprint has sold nearly three million copies across its initial 13 titles, with Perino as a prominent author among them. Her two previous bestsellers include ‘Everything Will Be Ok’ and ‘Tell Me About Jasper…’ The success of these titles indicates a strong market for books focused on life and career guidance.

As the Fox News Channel continues to lead in viewership for cable news, Perino’s new book appears to be strategically timed to capture the ongoing demand for career development resources. With her extensive background and network, Perino is well-equipped to provide a valuable reference point for readers.
