Dancing On Ice Contestant Claire Sweeney Takes A Tumble In Rehearsals

Actress Claire Sweeney, known for her role in Coronation Street, experienced an embarrassing moment during rehearsals for Dancing On Ice. The 52-year-old contestant took a fall while skating with her professional partner Colin Grafton. Although she escaped any injuries, her leggings tore, leaving her behind exposed.

During the incident, Claire practiced with judge Torvill as he assisted her in spinning around with her hands on his shoulders. Fellow judge Mulhern observed her technique. Addressing her wardrobe malfunction in a piece to camera, Claire humorously remarked, ‘I’ve been skating around with my bum hanging out with Torvill and Dean, and no one told me!’

Claire’s mishap continued during the live show as she became the subject of one of host Stephen Mulhern‘s jokes. Dressed in a racy Roman toga for her performance, Claire’s costume revealed plenty of leg with a side split and plunging neckline. Her partner Colin complemented her outfit with a sparkling golden costume that exposed his toned arms.

Arriving on the ice in a grand chariot pulled by two shirtless musclebound men, Claire’s entrance was quickly interrupted by Mulhern. He jokingly issued her a yellow parking ticket and fine for leaving it on the ice during her performance.

In other Dancing On Ice news, former boxer Ricky Hatton became the first celebrity to be eliminated from the 2024 series. Ricky and his partner Robin Johnstone found themselves in the skate-off against Lou Sanders and Brendyn Hatfield. Unfortunately, Ricky failed to impress the judges, and all four voted to save Lou and Brendyn, resulting in Ricky’s departure.

Next week, all remaining 11 pairs will take part in Movie Week, showcasing their ice dancing skills to iconic film soundtracks.
