Dancing with the Stars” Celebrates Soul Train Night with Energetic Performances
LOS ANGELES — “Dancing with the Stars” launched its much-anticipated “Soul Train Night,” a two-night event inspired by the renowned musical variety show, “Soul Train.” The event is designed to challenge the remaining 11 couples on the show to channel their inner “dancing machines” and deliver vibrant performances.
“It’s going to be very fun,” remarked dancer Rylee Arnold, capturing the enthusiasm surrounding the evening. Among the night’s performances, Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik is set to quickstep to Stevie Wonder‘s “Superstition.” Although the style presents a challenge, Nedoroscik noted, “We found something we really liked” in the iconic song.
Additionally, “Bachelor” star Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson are set to bring the energy with a jive to “Shout.” Meanwhile, actor Reginald VelJohnson, paired with Emma Slater, will showcase the foxtrot to “I Can See Clearly Now,” where VelJohnson humorously shared his plans for a “hand” performance, saying, “Went to the salon and got my hands done to make it look right.”
Adding to the excitement, supermodel Brooks Nada and her dance partner Gleb Savchenko plan to ignite the stage with a rumba performance to “Sexual Healing.” Savchenko teased the performance saying, “The floor is lava,” while Nada added playfully, “My mom and dad can’t watch this!”
Last week’s top scorer, Chandler Kinney, will take on the cha-cha to “It’s Tricky,” with partner Brandon Armstrong eager to “introduce his partner in a new light.” The duo aims to maintain their momentum as one of the top contenders in the competition.
Olympian Ilona Maher and her partner Alan Bersten will join the lineup with a foxtrot to “Lady Marmalade.” Bersten anticipates unveiling “a graceful Ilona,” while Maher lightheartedly retorted, “Maybe,” contributing to the evening’s lively atmosphere.
Although “Soul Train Night” promises excitement and dynamic performances, no couples will face elimination until the following evening. Tuesday night will transition into “Hair Band Night,” featuring guest judge Gene Simmons.
“Dancing with the Stars” continues to air Monday and Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m. on ABC, captivating audiences with its blend of celebrity, talent, and creativity.
