Danielle Colby American Pickers Social Media Return

DES MOINES, Iowa — Danielle Colby, a recognizable star from the reality TV show ‘American Pickers,’ has resurfaced on social media after several months of absence, sparking interest among fans. The 49-year-old previously deleted her social media accounts following a politically charged post earlier this year.

Colby vanished from public life in late January after she advocated for political unity through an Instagram post coinciding with President Joe Biden‘s inauguration. In her message, she encouraged followers to ‘band together.’ However, shortly after expressing her views, she disappeared from social platforms.

Colby’s re-emergence was noted when her co-star Mike Wolfe shared an Instagram post featuring a recent moment with her. Wolfe, who is mourning the loss of his friend JP, included Colby in a heartfelt tribute on his Instagram account this Monday.

In the post, Wolfe reflected on his journey with ‘American Pickers,’ stating, “20 years ago I bought a camera and a box of Mini DV tapes and started shooting my adventures picking across America,” highlighting the show’s deep personal significance.

Wolfe’s post also detailed his experience with Nora, JP’s wife, emphasizing the duo’s artistic endeavors. He stated, “Her and JP have devoted their lives to their passions and collecting,” illustrating the strong bond and legacy left by his late friend.

While sharing memories, Wolfe mentioned filming with Colby just days prior, suggesting their return to the screen will be framed as a tribute to JP. He expressed his eagerness for fans to meet Nora, underscoring the impact both women have had on his life.

Fans reacted quickly to Wolfe’s tribute, with comments ranging from condolences to expressions of excitement over new content. One user commented, “So sorry for the loss you are all feeling Mr. Wolfe! We look forward to sharing the story with you,” while another noted, “Great story… that’s what life’s all about, right?”

Prior to her social media hiatus, Colby uploaded a video offering encouragement but hinted at the possibility of deleting her account. She stated, “If this page disappears, which it could, soon… go to @daniellecolbywashere,” suggesting a backup for her fans. In her before-deletion message, she highlighted the need for collective action among artists and urged her audience to protect their mental health.

Colby also shared a thought-provoking caption alongside a recent photo, stating, “When a clown moves into a palace, he doesn’t become a king. The palace becomes a circus,” signaling her return with her characteristic creativity.
