Danny DeVito’s Fitness Routine and Upcoming Docuseries
Danny DeVito, renowned actor known for his roles in films like “Matilda,” is making headlines not only for his work in the entertainment industry but also for his unique approach to maintaining health and fitness as he approaches his 80th birthday on November 17. According to an insider speaking exclusively to Closer Weekly, DeVito follows a strict regimen that includes rigorous trampoline workouts, which have become central to his fitness ritual.
“He may look short and pudgy, but he’s actually in great condition thanks to these bouncy exercises,” the source revealed. DeVito himself has discussed this workout habit, noting its importance during his time starring in the Broadway play “I Need That.” In an interview, DeVito expressed how getting to the theater early to bounce on his trampoline was part of his preparation routine. “I start every night with it to get myself going,” he mentioned, likening it to a warm-up before performance.
Trampolining, according to Closer’s source, has not only offered DeVito physical benefits but also mental acuity. “It’s part of Danny’s daily ritual,” the insider disclosed. “He spends at least 15 minutes on his trampoline, bobbing up and down, to increase circulation and sharpen his mental skills. It’s why he’s stayed so flexible.” Aside from physical activity, DeVito is also mindful of his diet, opting for more fish and vegetables while occasionally indulging in steak or pasta, the source added.
Beyond his health regimen, DeVito is busy with new projects. This month, he steps into the role of executive producer for the upcoming docuseries “Game 7,” which will be available on Prime Video. “I’m a sports enthusiast in kind of a weird way,” DeVito shared in a recent interview. While he doesn’t consistently follow sports, he is drawn to the excitement of the playoffs, which inspired his involvement in “Game 7.”
“Game 7,” described by Amazon, is a five-part anthology series that highlights the exhilarating moments of sports history, capturing first-hand accounts from both winning and losing athletes involved in these high-stakes games. The series is set to premiere on October 22.
