Danny Trejo History Series Presentation

LOS ANGELES, CA — Actor Danny Trejo introduces his latest project, “Misterios Inexplorados con Danny Trejo,” during a virtual press event hosted by HISTORY on March 5, 2025. The eight-episode series explores accidental discoveries that have altered perceptions of history.

“This is the type of stuff I love more than anything,” Trejo said, highlighting his fascination with historical finds. He explained that the series dives deep into tales like that of a woman who, while gardening, unearthed ruins of a Roman temple.

Trejo joins a roster of notable hosts on the channel, including William Shatner and Morgan Freeman. He is set to guide viewers through events that reveal the hidden stories behind significant discoveries, offering a unique lens on unexpected archaeological finds.

“When you watch these episodes and see these treasures, you realize some of the things that are found were here before mankind. It makes you think, ‘How can this be?'” Trejo shared, expressing his excitement about the revelations the series will unveil.

The show’s inaugural episode, titled “Tesoros Ocultos,” delves into extraordinary treasures like a rare Roman mosaic that was once displayed in a museum by Benito Mussolini but ended up repurposed as a coffee table in a New York apartment.

Trejo reflected on his own experiences with hidden treasures: “I found many little treasures when helping people clean their garages. As kids, we didn’t realize what we had when we returned old paintings. I wonder how much they might be worth now,” he said.

The show aims to inspire curiosity in history among younger audiences. “The world is a beautiful place, and there are many mysteries still waiting to be discovered. I think kids might be those lucky ones to uncover them,” Trejo noted.

As Trejo investigates the unexpected finds, he emphasizes the pure joy of discovery. “I love stories of accidental finds. It shows that treasures are within reach for everyone, not just for those who dive deep into the ocean for treasure,” he remarked.

HISTORY, a network known for its engaging documentary content, collaborated with A+E Factual Studios to produce the series. Each episode will feature insights from historians, archeologists, and scientists to provide a comprehensive understanding of these curious discoveries.

“What I like about this program is that it offers information usable in schools and able to impress teachers. History is foundational for seeing the future,” Trejo concluded, emphasizing the program’s educational value.

“Misterios Inexplorados con Danny Trejo” premieres March 14, 2025, on HISTORY and is available on VOD in both translated and subtitled versions.
