Darius Rucker’s Benefit Concert Raises Over $815,000 for St. Jude

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Darius Rucker and friends held the 16th annual “Darius and Friends” benefit concert on June 2 at Nashville‘s Ryman Auditorium. The event, which included a golf tournament the day before, raised over $815,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, bringing the total raised since its inception to more than $5.1 million.
Rucker, a three-time GRAMMY Award-winner, expressed his gratitude for being part of the event. “When we visited St. Jude’s campus in 2008, I pledged to help and here we are,” he said. “The work they’re doing – the research, the breakthroughs – it’s incredible. Families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food, which changes everything for those going through difficult times.”
This year’s concert featured several notable country artists, including Tyler Braden, Luke Bryan, Kashus Culpepper, Lanie Gardner, Morgan Wallen, and Austin Williams. Previous years have seen performances from artists like Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, and Brooks & Dunn, highlighting the ongoing commitment of the music community to support St. Jude.
The accompanying golf tournament added even more star power, with participants such as Drew Baldridge, Priscilla Block, NFL Pro Bowler Randall Cobb, and NSYNC’s Chris Kirkpatrick. The annual event is supported by sponsors AMD and The Law Office of Jennifer McCoy, ensuring that St. Jude can help families without financial burdens.
This year’s fundraising event contributes to a busy season for Rucker. He plans to release new music later this year and will perform at Nissan Stadium on June 5 during CMA Fest. His Darius Rucker Live tour is set to kick off in July.
