Renowned musician Daryl Hall, known for being half of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo Hall & Oates, was forced to end his performance at the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) on Wednesday due to health concerns.

During the Summer Night Concerts event, Hall managed to perform three songs before he was unable to continue. He expressed his apologies to the audience, indicating that he was not feeling well.

Laura Ballance, a spokesperson for the PNE, confirmed that Hall left the stage after his brief performance and did not return. She noted that despite the disappointment, the crowd showed great understanding and support for the artist.

Ballance conveyed Hall’s well wishes to his fans in Vancouver, emphasizing his eagerness to return to the city in the future. She stated, “He wasn’t well and he looks forward to coming back to Vancouver soon.”

Ticket holders for the concert were informed that they would receive a full refund for the cancelled performance. Ballance mentioned that most tickets had been purchased online, and refunds were processed immediately.

In cases where tickets were bought at the Fair, attendees were advised to visit the box office for refund arrangements. Ballance reassured that the vast majority of ticket holders had been refunded without issues.

This incident is described as uncommon, as live performances typically proceed as planned. Ballance emphasized the priority of the artist’s health, stating that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes arise.

The Summer Night Concerts series at the PNE is scheduled to run through September 2.
