David Harbour Thunderbolts Cast

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – David Harbour took the title of the “most difficult to work with” cast member of the upcoming movie “Thunderbolts” during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” The episode aired on April 28, 2025, just days before the film’s release on May 2.

Kimmel’s direct question about who in the group was most challenging garnered laughter and an immediate response from Harbour, who joked, “It’s got to be me.” He added, “I have a day job though; I think my excuse is that I have a day job where I work with a lot of enthusiastic children.” Harbour’s “day job” refers to his role as Jim Hopper in Netflix’s popular series “Stranger Things,” which he has been a part of since 2016.

The actor explained that the youthful environment on set can make him feel cranky. “When you’re with that much youthful enthusiasm, I don’t know, you just feel cranky and old,” he admitted. But he expressed appreciation for working alongside co-star Sebastian Stan, calling him “my cranky brother.” Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes, clarified, “I’m not always cranky; I just ask a lot of ‘why’ while filming.”

Wyatt Russell, another cast member, chimed in to reassure the audience. “The crankiness turns to joy very quickly,” he said. The comedic dynamic highlighted the camaraderie within the cast, who were excited for their film’s release.

As the conversation shifted to the film itself, Sebastian Stan emphasized the challenges of performing stunts without enough preparation time. “We just don’t have as much time as we used to in preparing. It’s a little bit like, ‘hurry up and learn it and let’s do it,’” he shared.

Despite the difficulties of filming, Stan remains enthusiastic about the challenges of his role. “It’s nice to have a challenge. The fear and the adrenaline and the excitement kind of blend in together, and by the end, it’s all fun,” he said. “As long as I can get in there a little bit, I’m grateful.” The full cast appearance can be seen in the episode available online.
