David Lynch Auction Items

LOS ANGELES, May 29, 2025 — Fans of the late filmmaker David Lynch have a rare chance to own a piece of cinematic history as over 450 items from his personal collection go up for auction on June 18.

The auction, organized by Julien's Auctions in collaboration with Turner Classic Movies, will be conducted both online and at the Julien’s auction house in Gardena, California. Items up for bid include a wide array of personal artifacts, such as props, musical instruments, fine art, and even furniture from Lynch’s home.

Memorabilia from acclaimed films including ‘Twin Peaks,’ ‘Mulholland Drive,’ ‘Eraserhead,’ ‘The Elephant Man,’ and ‘Blue Velvet‘ will be featured in the auction. Unique offerings include four prop menus from Winkie’s Sunset Boulevard in ‘Mulholland Drive,’ as well as Lynch’s steel guitar and a vintage chenille sofa reminiscent of ‘Lost Highway.’

According to Catherine Williamson, managing director of entertainment for Julien’s Auctions, this collection represents the artistic vision of one of cinema’s most revered directors. “These pieces come directly from the home of the visionary artist whose enigmatic films stirred our most imaginative and collective surreal dreams,” she stated.

The auction provides an opportunity for Lynch enthusiasts to add a touch of his creative legacy to their own homes. Items range in price, with some starting as low as $50 for various homeware, while highlighted pieces like an L-shaped sofa designed by Vladimir Kagan can fetch up to $10,000.

In addition to the auction, some items will be on display during Cinespia’s sold-out screening of ‘Blue Velvet’ on May 31, allowing fans a preview of the items before the auction begins.
