LOS ANGELES, CASony Pictures is celebrating the impending release of the highly anticipated sequel, 28 Years Later, by bringing the original film, 28 Days Later, back to theaters. The classic post-apocalyptic horror film will be shown for one night only on Wednesday, May 21, and tickets are available now.

The re-release of 28 Days Later includes bonus footage and a sneak peek at the upcoming sequel, which is set to hit theaters on June 20, 2025. The original film, directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, tells the harrowing story of a group of survivors in a ravaged London after a highly contagious virus turns humans into violent, zombie-like creatures.

In the film, Jim, played by Cillian Murphy, wakes up from a coma to find a desolate city. He soon teams up with other survivors, including Selena (Naomie Harris) and cab driver Frank (Brendan Gleeson), as they navigate the dangers of a world gripped by chaos.
