Deal Or No Deal Returns To 10, Hosted By Grant Denyer

Deal or No Deal is set to make a comeback on 10 with a new season hosted by Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer. The popular game show, which is a Banijay Group format produced by Endemol Shine Australia, will return to Australian screens in 2024. With its massive global following and 325 productions worldwide, Deal or No Deal offers contestants a high-stakes game of risk versus reward.

In each episode, contestants are faced with a series of decisions about which briefcase to open amongst an array of sealed briefcases filled with varying amounts of cash. They must choose whether to accept an offer from the mysterious Banker in exchange for what might be contained in their chosen briefcase. The intense suspense and high risk in the show’s format promise a truly nail-biting experience.

Grant Denyer expressed his excitement about hosting the show and bringing it back to Aussie screens. He acknowledged the show’s unique appeal, stating, ‘The show is steeped in suspense and loaded with risk at every turn, but there’s always the chance of massive riches for contestants who can hold their nerve. Suspense, risk, and big money – those are the key ingredients that will ensure everyone is on the edge of their couch.’

Deal or No Deal will be a part of 10’s new early evening lineup, starting with Neighbours at 4.00 pm from Monday to Thursday, followed by The Bold and the Beautiful at 4.30 pm. The news coverage delivered by 10 News First will return to a one-hour bulletin at 5.00pm. The game show will then hit screens at 6.00pm, followed by The Project at 6.30pm.

The Battle of the Game Shows is heating up among all major networks, with each one preparing their own exciting programs. However, investment director at Half Dome, Michelle Hartley, suggests that the 6pm timeslot for Deal or No Deal may pose challenges in the long run. Hartley believes it might be difficult to attract viewers away from competing quiz shows and away from prime-time news programs.

Deal or No Deal, produced by Endemol Shine Australia for Network 10, promises to deliver thrilling entertainment to its audience once again.
