LOS ANGELES, CA — Kojima Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that the highly anticipated game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, will officially launch on June 26, 2025, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and priced at $69.99. Pre-orders for the game opened on March 17, allowing fans to secure limited edition benefits.

In a bid to entice gamers, each pre-order will include exclusive in-game items such as the Battle Skeleton: Silver and the Custom Hologram: Quokka. Both the Digital Deluxe Edition, priced at $79.99, and the more extravagant Collector’s Edition for $229.99, come with additional perks, including early access to the game.

The Collector’s Edition of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach features a digital copy of the game and an impressive 15-inch Magellan Man statue, crafted under the supervision of renowned artist Yoji Shinkawa. This edition also includes a three-inch Dollman figurine, art cards, and a personalized letter from Hideo Kojima.

“The statue represents the spirit and soul of Kojima Productions,” Kojima stated. “We wanted to create something memorable and substantial that our fans could cherish.”

Pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition launched at 10 a.m. local time on March 17 across multiple countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, and several European nations. The limited availability of these collector’s items encourages eager fans to act quickly before they are sold out.

In addition to the excitement surrounding pre-orders, a ten-minute trailer for Death Stranding 2 was recently unveiled, showcasing the surreal and gripping narrative fans can expect. The game is said to expand on themes of human connection, with players set to embark on a mission with protagonist Sam and his companions to combat otherworldly adversaries.

Adding to the robust promotional efforts, Milan Records announced the release of “To The Wilder,” the lead single for the game’s soundtrack. The song, featuring stirring string arrangements by Woodkid, encapsulates the emotional depth associated with the sequel.

As the release date draws near, fans are eager to see how Kojima’s signature storytelling and unique gameplay mechanics will further evolve in this sequel.
