Delta Air Lines Debuts Airbus A330-900neo on Atlanta-Buenos Aires Route
ATLANTA, Ga. — Delta Air Lines has introduced its state-of-the-art Airbus A330-900neo aircraft on its permanent route between Atlanta and Buenos Aires, marking the first deployment of this next-generation plane in Argentina. The aircraft will also operate on Delta’s seasonal service between New York-JFK and Buenos Aires until March 29, 2025.
The A330-900neo replaces the Boeing 767-400ER on the Buenos Aires route, increasing Delta’s capacity by approximately 20%. The upgrade introduces a more premium offering, including the return of Delta One suites, 56 Delta Comfort+ seats, 29 Delta One suites, and 28 Delta Premium Select seats. Passengers can also enjoy Delta Studio, the airline’s in-flight entertainment system, which offers over 1,000 hours of movies, TV shows, music, and podcasts.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce the Airbus A330-900neo to our operations in Argentina,” said Agustín Durand, General Sales Manager for Delta in Argentina, Central America, and the Caribbean. “This aircraft is not only a symbol of our commitment to improving the customer experience, but it also strengthens our connectivity between Argentina and the United States.”
Delta has also increased its capacity from Atlanta to Buenos Aires by approximately 40% for the winter 2024-2025 season. The move reflects the airline’s focus on enhancing passenger comfort and connectivity, particularly for the significant Argentine population in the U.S., which numbered approximately 290,000 in 2021.
The A330-900neo features four cabin classes: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin. The aircraft’s advanced design and amenities aim to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable journey for both business and leisure travelers.
