RICHMOND, Va. — TiMi Studio‘s Team Jade has officially announced the release date for the much-anticipated Delta Force Black Hawk Down campaign. Players can expect the campaign mode to become available on PC starting February 21, 2025, at 02:00 UTC+0.
This new mode for Delta Force, which recently launched its free-to-play Open Beta in early December, aims to enhance the game’s appeal following lukewarm reception from users, as recent reviews on Steam average 63% and overall ratings stand at 68%.
Inspired by the acclaimed film and the original 2003 video game, the Black Hawk Down campaign will immerse players in intense combat scenarios, testing their tactical skills and teamwork. The campaign utilizes the advanced Unreal Engine 5 technology, offering players a visually rich environment as they engage in missions reflective of the historical events during the Somali Civil War.
“You will step into the boots of an elite Delta Force operator, reliving one of the most iconic military operations, where a straightforward capture operation turns into an impossible extraction,” Team Jade described in their announcement. The gameplay will include options for solo play or cooperative multiplayer.
Initially slated for January 2025, the campaign’s release was delayed, a fact that has added to the anticipation among fans. Alongside the release date, Team Jade shared a brief teaser trailer that showcases the combat within the devastated streets of Mogadishu, providing an early glimpse into the campaign’s immersive experience.
Details about pricing for the campaign have yet to be unveiled, though Team Jade confirmed it will not feature microtransactions. However, no official pricing has been disclosed so far.
In December 2024, the developers had hinted at the campaign’s arrival but were unable to provide a firm launch date until now. “More details will follow in the coming days,” they noted. This delay highlights the team’s commitment to delivering a polished gameplay experience that meets player expectations.
For those not primarily interested in the campaign, Delta Force continues to engage players with its multiplayer options, which have received significant updates since its release. The game has drawn comparisons to EA’s Battlefield series for its large-scale player interactions and dynamic combat features, including modes like Warfare, extraction-style gameplay, and the 3v3v3 mode called Hot Zone.
As a free-to-play title, Delta Force allows players to experience core game mechanics without an upfront cost, although the upcoming campaign is expected to be a paid addition.
As the launch date approaches, excitement builds among the Delta Force community, with players eager to explore the new campaign that promises to deliver challenges reminiscent of the brutal realities faced by military operatives. The announcement has heightened interest in the game, making it a notable topic of discussion among gaming enthusiasts.
