Demi Lovato Performing At Charity Gala

NEW YORK — Singer and mental health advocate Demi Lovato is set to perform at Caron Treatment Centers’ 31st annual gala on April 21 at Cipriani 42nd Street. This event will support Caron’s Recovery for Life mission, aimed at broadening access to addiction and behavioral healthcare treatment.

The gala will kick off with a performance by Grammy-winning couple John Leventhal and will honor three prominent philanthropists: Dr. Angelina Lipman, Monte Lipman, and Jennifer Bandier. “Recovery is possible — and I am honored to support Caron in helping individuals reclaim their lives and embrace a brighter future,” Lovato stated.

Lovato holds the record for the most nominations for the Video for Good category at the MTV Video Music Awards, with four nominations. This category recognizes music videos that address pressing social and political issues. She previously won in 2012 for “Skyscraper” and has been nominated for “I Love Me,” “Dancing With the Devil,” and “Swine.”

Dr. Angelina Lipman, a psychologist and founder of Blocking the Noise, along with Republic Records CEO Monte Lipman, will receive the Thomas J. Moran Caron Music Award for their ongoing charitable efforts and support for Caron’s mission. The Lipmans are also involved in several organizations focused on health, education, and the arts.

Dr. Lipman, who has taught at Columbia Business School and is recognized for her expertise in social personality psychology, stressed the personal connection to Caron’s work. “Supporting Caron is personal for us. The work they do touches lives in meaningful, lasting ways,” she noted.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Bandier will receive the Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence in recognition of her continued support for Caron and her contributions to philanthropy. As an experienced music industry professional and founder of luxury activewear brand BANDIER, she is a passionate mentor and advocate for women in business. “Being honored with this award is deeply meaningful to me. Caron’s work is essential, and I’m proud to support their commitment to transforming lives,” Bandier said.

John Driscoll, president and CEO of Caron Treatment Centers, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event. “We are thrilled to welcome Demi Lovato and celebrate our incredible honorees. This evening reflects our shared commitment to recovery and a future filled with purpose, connection, and possibility,” he said.

Proceeds from the gala will fund scholarships and programs for Caron’s New York initiatives, which include outpatient services, family programming, alumni support, and addiction prevention initiatives. Since its inception in 1996, Caron New York has served as a center for community engagement and early intervention.
