Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle Movie Set for July 2025 Release

Tokyo, Japan — Fans of the critically acclaimed anime series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” can mark their calendars for July 18, 2025, when the franchise’s highly anticipated movie trilogy, titled “Infinity Castle,” is set to premiere in Japan. This marks a significant step forward as the series transitions from its fourth season directly into cinematic storytelling.
The announcement was made by Aniplex during a live event on March 1, 2025, which featured the main voice cast, including Natsuki Hanae, who voices Tanjiro, and Takahiro Sakurai, who plays Giyu Tomioka. The event also showcased a new promotional video and visual, building excitement for what is expected to be an emotional and action-packed conclusion to the series.
The “Infinity Castle” trilogy will adapt the climactic arc of the original manga created by Koyoharu Gotouge. Unlike previous seasons, the fourth season served as a prologue, known as the Hashira Training arc, which ran for just eight episodes and set up the impending conflict with the series’ villain, Muzan Kibutsuji.
Despite mixed reviews regarding the pacing of the fourth season, the franchise remains immensely popular. “Demon Slayer” has made waves globally, previously achieving record-breaking box office earnings with the film “Mugen Train,” which became Japan’s highest-grossing film. Expectations are similarly high for the upcoming movies.
The first movie in the trilogy, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle,” focuses on Tanjiro and his comrades’ final efforts against Muzan Kibutsuji and the Upper Moons. Fans eagerly anticipate this new direction, especially considering the recent success of anime films in theaters.
While exact dates for international releases are yet to be confirmed, they are expected to follow shortly after the Japan premiere. Crunchyroll will be responsible for the global distribution, which suggests that North American and European audiences might see the film in late 2025. Reports indicate that CineStar, a major German cinema chain, listed the film for a September release, although this was removed later.
With two upcoming video game adaptations and a fifth stage play also in the works, the “Demon Slayer” franchise continues to thrive. As fans anticipate the arrival of “Infinity Castle,” they can revisit previous seasons and episodes, available on Crunchyroll in multiple languages.
