Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie Set for July 2025 Release

Tokyo, Japan – The highly anticipated anime film, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle,” has been officially scheduled for release on July 18, 2025. This announcement was made during the Corps Gathering event on March 1, where fans gathered to celebrate the series and hear live readings from the show’s voice actors.
The first installment of the movie trilogy, which will adapt the Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotouge‘s acclaimed manga, is expected to draw audiences back into the thrilling world of Tanjiro Kamado and his allies as they confront the deadly Muzan Kibutsuji and the Upper Rank demons.
Following the conclusion of the fourth season of the anime in 2024, this new movie promises to continue the narrative built through previous seasons. The Infinity Castle arc spans chapters 137 to 183, and the film may also explore content from the Sunrise Countdown arc (chapters 184 to 205), potentially wrapping up the series’ story on the big screen.
The Corps Gathering event featured a live reading with voice actors, including Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro), Takahiro Sakurai (Giyu Tomioka), and others, who performed scenes from the anime. Their readings created excitement among fans as they anticipated the challenges facing the protagonists in the forthcoming trilogy.
“As we prepare for the final confrontation in the Infinity Castle, fans can expect high stakes and emotional pull, much like what we’ve seen in the past,” said Koyoharu Gotouge during a Q&A session at the event. The last time fans witnessed a theatrical release related to this series was the critically acclaimed “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train,” which became Japan’s highest-grossing film ever at the box office.
Despite some mixed reviews of the fourth season, which lasted only eight episodes and was viewed as a prologue to the climax of the series, the franchise remains a massive draw globally. The hype surrounding the Infinity Castle movie trilogy suggests it is likely to replicate or exceed the success of its predecessors.
According to Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, the international release will follow the theatrical debut in Japan, although exact dates for North American audiences have yet to be confirmed. The experience of previous movies like “Mugen Train” indicates fans can look forward to a staggered rollout in various territories in late 2025.
The event also teased additional content, including a new video game titled “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2,” slated for a 2025 release. As the timeline for the final arc unfolds, fans of the series are gearing up for what they hope will be a spectacular finish to a beloved saga.
