Tell Me Lies Season 2 Episode 6

The second season of “Tell Me Lies” continues to unravel complex relationships and introduces new challenges for its characters. Episode six, titled “Do Your Dirty Words Come Out to Play?”, sees Catherine Missal‘s character, Bree, facing significant turmoil as she becomes entangled in a complicated affair with a married professor.

Throughout this season, Bree finds herself romantically involved with Oliver, played by Tom Ellis, while still grappling with the emotional fallout from her previous relationship with Evan, portrayed by Branden Cook. This involvement with Oliver comes to light despite the fact that Bree and Evan’s characters are destined to marry in the show’s future timeline, set in 2015.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Missal elaborates on Bree’s journey, acknowledging the “desperation and motivation” that guide her actions, although these choices are far from ideal. “It’s definitely not the best angel-devil shoulder situation,” notes Missal, highlighting Bree’s internal conflict.

The episode’s drama escalates during a Friendsgiving gathering, which includes an intense game of slap shots. Missal describes filming these scenes as “intense, but a good time.” The complexity of Bree’s emotions is further explored as she navigates the consequences of her actions, particularly in relation to Evan.

Working alongside Tom Ellis has been a learning experience for Missal, who remarks on the new dynamic introduced by Oliver’s character. She emphasizes the “underbelly” of manipulation that exists within their relationship, which only complicates matters further as the season progresses.

As the episode unfolds, viewers are left to contemplate the impact of Bree’s decisions and the potential damage to her and Evan’s future relationship. Missal hints at significant developments in the coming episodes, suggesting that there is “much damage ahead that can’t be undone.”

The intrigue on “Tell Me Lies” deepens with each episode as characters maneuver through their intertwined lives, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating the series’ next twists and turns. The first six episodes of season two are available for streaming, with new episodes released weekly.
