Devlin Hodges Lainey Wilson Engagement Ring

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges proposed to country music star Lainey Wilson on February 12, just over a week after speculation about their engagement began to circulate. Wilson confirmed the news through her Instagram, posting an embrace with Hodges along with the caption: “4x4xU forever.”

The engagement ring, crafted by Hollie Winter Fine Jewelry in Germantown, Tennessee, has drawn considerable attention for its unique design. The jeweler shared images of the ring on Instagram, expressing their excitement about being a part of the couple’s journey. “We were truly honored to craft something so special for a love that lasts forever!” the jeweler posted.

Fans quickly took to social media to share their congratulations. One user wrote, “He gave a rock to a rolling stone, and the rolling stone let her heart free!” while another exclaimed, “Omg!!!!!!!!!!! I just hollered out loud! Congratulations.”

Wilson and Hodges have mostly kept their relationship private; however, Wilson has opened up more about it in recent months, hinting at hopes for marriage during a past interview with “Taste of Country Nights.” In August, she mentioned lyrics in her song “Counting Chickens” which conveyed her feelings on the subject of commitment, joking, “I guess I’m going to have to propose to his (expletive), because he ain’t proposed to me.”

Throughout their courtship, Hodges and Wilson moved parallel paths: Hodges transitioned from the NFL after his time with the Steelers, while Wilson’s star in country music has risen dramatically. In January during Grammy Week, Wilson shared a photo of herself preparing for the awards ceremony, and Hodges responded on social media, further fueling speculation about their future together.

Wilson, who has acknowledged her desire to marry Hodges, playfully responded during an interview with fellow artist Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo, who expressed hopes for a wedding in 2025. Wilson simply replied, “No pressure, brother!”

The couple’s relationship began when Hodges was still with the Steelers. He went undrafted in 2019 and signed with Pittsburgh as a free agent, later playing for the Los Angeles Rams and the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblacks. His NFL career statistics include 1,063 passing yards, five touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

In closing, Wilson reflected on how their relationship evolved amidst major life transitions, describing it as a “whirlwind.” As they embark on a new chapter, fans are eager to watch their journey unfold.
