Dhanush’s Film ‘Captain Miller’ Witnesses a Slight Drop in Box Office Collection on Day 2
Dhanush‘s recently released film, ‘Captain Miller‘, experienced a slight dip in box office collection on its second day. The movie, which hit the theaters on January 12, had a decent opening day response but witnessed a decline in numbers on its second day.
‘Captain Miller’ faced tough competition at the box office from other major releases including Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif‘s ‘Merry Christmas‘, Teja Sajja‘s ‘HanuMan‘, and Sivakarthikeyan‘s ‘Ayalaan‘. Additionally, it is now also competing with Venkatesh Daggubati‘s ‘Saindhav‘ which released on January 13.
According to early estimates, ‘Captain Miller’ earned approximately Rs 6.75 crores on its second day, a slight drop compared to the Rs 8.70 crores earned on its opening day. The total collection of the film now stands at around Rs 15.45 crores. Despite this decline, ‘Captain Miller’ continues to perform well at the box office.
‘Captain Miller’, directed by Arun Matheswaran, showcases the talented actor Dhanush in the lead role. Set in the pre-independence era, the film also features prominent actors such as Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, and John Kokken in pivotal roles. The impressive music score has been composed by GV Prakash.
