Dierks Bentley Survivor Competition Humor

CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. — Country singer Dierks Bentley jokingly shared what he would need if he were to compete on the reality show Survivor, during a recent interview. While Bentley expressed interest in the possibility, he quickly clarified that he does not plan to compete anytime soon.

During an interview with Evan Paul, Bentley mentioned he would bring several comforts from home, including earplugs, an eye mask, a cooling mattress, a sound machine, and three pillows. To add humor to his list, he joked that he might need to weave some luxury into his socks. However, as for currently competing, he stated, “For now, I’m just gonna be a fan.”

The speculation about Bentley’s potential appearance on Survivor began after he posted about it online, originally intending to promote a friend he believed would be a great contestant. “I actually tried to support a friend of mine here in town, saying she would be a great contestant on Survivor,” Bentley explained. “But it kind of came back toward me, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this is a possibility.’”

Despite the playful dialogue, it was Bentley’s 14-year-old daughter who ultimately helped him realize the challenges of such a competition. He recounted, “My daughter was like, ‘Dad, you’re a beast when you don’t sleep, and you would probably get canceled. You would probably say something absolutely crazy and you’d probably get canceled.'”

In a lighter moment, Bentley quipped about needing to sell more records to have a safety net if he did decide to take on Survivor and risk the chance of being ‘canceled.’ He has been a well-known figure in country music since his 2003 debut, blending rowdy anthems with soft ballads.

Meanwhile, fans are continuing to support Bentley’s music career as he reflects on the importance of family and the perks that come with fame. This mix of humor and humility exemplifies Bentley’s connection with his audience while navigating the idea of survival in both music and reality television.
