Digimon Story: Time Stranger Day-One Patch and Release Details

Tokyo, Japan – Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the launch patch notes for their highly anticipated game, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, set to release on October 3, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will receive a significant day-one update that includes a host of quality-of-life improvements.
The update, estimated at around 10 GB, introduces features such as save data transfer from the demo version, adjusted tutorial texts, and improved visuals including images for certain sections. The Steam version will also see the default frame rate upgraded to 60fps, enhancing gameplay experience for players.
“We are excited to provide these updates to ensure a smoother gameplay experience for our players upon launch,” a Bandai Namco spokesperson said. “It’s essential that players apply this patch if they intend to transfer their demo progress to the full game.”
Digimon Story: Time Stranger follows the story of a protagonist involved with a secret organization, ADAMAS, set against a backdrop of a digital world and contemporary Tokyo. Players will navigate the game’s storyline, which centers on human-Digimon connections, while exploring key locations such as Shinjuku and Akihabara.
Additionally, the game will feature a symbol encounter system allowing players to initiate battles by touching enemies on the map, providing a unique twist to traditional turn-based combat. Over 450 Digimon characters will be available for players to collect and train as they embark on their journey through both the Human World and the Digital World, known as Iliad.
To more immerse players, a free demo is currently available across gaming platforms, already reflecting some of the patch’s content. The thrilling adventure of Digimon Story: Time Stranger is poised to captivate fans and newcomers alike when it officially launches.
