Disco Lines Sells Out First Headlining Show at Red Rocks

MORRISON, Colo. — Disco Lines has successfully sold out his first-ever headlining show at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, scheduled for April 5, 2025. The 27-year-old producer, whose real name is Thadeus Labuszewski, has become a prominent figure in the electronic dance music scene, captivating audiences with his unique sound.
Since his early days attending raves in Denver and Boulder, Labuszewski has evolved from a young enthusiast into a powerful presence in house music. ‘Performing at Red Rocks is obviously surreal,’ Labuszewski said in an interview. ‘I always felt like I was home there. It felt very true to me to play there.’ Having previously opened for other major acts, this sold-out performance marks a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.
Labuszewski, who grew up in Centennial, credits Colorado’s vibrant music scene as a significant influence on his career. ‘I remember my first Red Rocks show was Pretty Lights when I was in high school. It was crazy and eye-opening,’ he recalled. ‘It made me want to be a part of this world.’
His musical journey began in earnest after he graduated from Arapahoe High School. Initially majoring in computer engineering at Gonzaga University, Labuszewski later transferred to the University of Colorado Boulder, realizing his passion for music was stronger than his inclination toward a traditional career path. ‘We have all this gold in our backyard, but sometimes you don’t even realize it’s there,’ he stated.
Labuszewski, who previously performed under the name “Shady Nasty,” eventually adopted the moniker Disco Lines, inspired by an incident at a college party. The name reflects his affinity for dance music and the vibrant Boulder culture. ‘I thought it would be a cool homage to this small city,’ he explained.
His determination to break into the music scene paid off, as he began selling out showcases and garnering attention from promoters. ‘I sold about 300 tickets to my first show,’ he shared. ‘And that opened the door to a scene where I was once just an audience member.’
Disco Lines’ sound is characterized by high-energy beats designed to keep the crowd engaged, as demonstrated by his viral deep-house remix of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” during the pandemic. ‘Colorado has so many cool sounds… We’re so lucky to have Red Rocks in our backyard,’ he remarked, highlighting the unique qualities of the local music environment.
As he continues to perform at major festivals such as Coachella and Electric Forest, Labuszewski remains grounded, reflecting on the journey that got him to this point. ‘I think it’s beautiful. I didn’t want to be a college DJ forever, so I think doing Red Rocks and Coachella is a good way to get out of that mindset,’ he said.
As the countdown to his headlining show at Red Rocks continues, Disco Lines is poised to solidify his status as a staple in the EDM community, turning a life-long dream into reality.
