Disney Dreamlight Valley Agrabah Update

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 25, 2025 — Disney Dreamlight Valley is set to unveil its much-anticipated “Tales of Agrabah” update on February 26, 2025. This free update will transport players into a new realm inspired by the classic Disney film Aladdin, featuring beloved characters and various new gameplay mechanics.

In the update, players will join protagonists Aladdin and Jasmine as they explore Agrabah’s market and investigate mysterious sandstorms impacting their homeland. A new companion, the iconic Flying Carpet, will be available for players to unlock, adding a magical touch to their adventure. The update aims to enhance and diversify players’ experiences in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

The new Gem Stall, along with new Friendship Quests, will introduce players to several other characters, each offering unique rewards. As players navigate through the update, they can expect to encounter a variety of gameplay mechanics, including crafting their Dreamlight Tapestry glider and participating in new stealth challenges.

The update also includes significant improvements to the cooking mechanics, aimed at making meal preparation more intuitive and enjoyable. For players who enjoy home decoration, new room customization options will allow for greater flexibility in designing interiors, including the option to remove mailboxes from secondary houses.

Spring festivities will return alongside the update, including a seasonal event titled Eggstravaganza, where players will search their valleys for clovers and eggs to craft and unlock unique rewards.

“This update is for the fans who have been asking for more content and gameplay improvements. We want to keep expanding the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley and offer fresh experiences for our players,” said a Gameloft representative.

The update brings additional quality-of-life updates, such as a solution to the famous squid glitch that had left some players unable to pick up squids dropped in their valleys. This fix highlights Gameloft’s commitment to listening to player feedback.

Community reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, with many fans expressing their excitement on Reddit about both the new characters and the smaller quality-of-life improvements. “I’ll finally be able to get rid of the squid in my house,” one player exclaimed, while another remarked, “I’m going to miss my emotional support glitch squid.”

Overall, the “Tales of Agrabah” update appears to be a substantial enhancement to Disney Dreamlight Valley, promising a blend of nostalgia and innovation that should engage both new and existing players.
