Disney Plus Plans to Increase Subscription Prices Again

Los Angeles, CA – Disney Plus will increase its subscription prices on October 21, 2025. The standalone plan with ads will rise from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, while the ad-free Premium tier will see a jump of $3, costing $18.99 per month. The annual ad-free plan will also go up by $30, bringing the yearly cost to $189.99.
Subscribers can still lock in the current rates if they sign up before the price hike takes effect. Those who subscribe by October 21 will pay $159.99 for a full year of the ad-free plan, and $15.99 per month thereafter. The ad-supported plan can be secured at $9.99 per month for the first billing cycle.
The primary differences between the two subscription tiers are that the Premium plan allows downloads for offline viewing and supports Dolby Atmos audio with select content. Both plans grant access to the same vast catalog of movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Marvel.
As part of the value, subscribers will also receive content from popular franchises, including upcoming documentaries and kid-friendly favorites such as Lilo & Stitch. Notably, this price increase marks Disney Plus’s third hike within three years, indicating a trend in the streaming industry.
Disney Plus is adjusting its bundles as well. The bundle with Hulu and ESPN+, which previously included exemptions from price hikes, will adjust, increasing from $10.99 to $12.99 per month.
As streaming prices continue to climb, subscribers are encouraged to keep track of the changes to make informed decisions regarding their plans. The latest adjustments underscore the competitiveness in the streaming arena as providers seek to balance costs and viewership.
