The film will be directed by Bennett and produced by Kenya Barris’s Khalabo Ink Society, with Jeremy Allen serving as a producer. Khalabo Ink Society, under the leadership of Kenya Barris, has been involved in producing successful TV shows such as “Black-ish” and its spinoffs. Barris has also worked on films including “Girls Trip” and the “Coming 2 America” sequel.
